COVID - 19

The commencement of 2022 has bought a new set of challenges to our practice and we continue to navigate the impact this has on our service provision. As a result the following policies/processes have been updated. It is important that clients of Ready OT are familiar with the following to keep clinicians, our colleagues, and our clients safe.

The below is as directed by the Department of Health and Human Services, Coronavirus Vic Health and OT Australia.

 

  • Allied health professionals are fully vaccinated and will continue to receive booster shots which are mandatory

  • Should clients choose not to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, which is against government health advise, Ready OT is only able to provide services via telehealth.

  • If a COVID restriction prevents a face-to-face appointment it will automatically become a telehealth appointment (phone or video).

  • If COVID 19 prevents you from attending your appointment within 24 hours of your appointment time, (either telehealth or face to face) our cancellation policy (as per service agreement) will apply.

FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENTS

For all in person (either in clients home or in clinic) we request that you adhere to the following:

  • Please wear a clean face mask

  • Please check in using QR code

  • Maintain 1.5m distance from others

  • Maintain hand hygiene (utilise wash basins, hand sanitiser and no shaking hands)

 

Please do not attend the clinic or conduct your face-to-face session at home if:

  • You are you experiencing any cold/flu symptoms (i.e.: sore throat, runny nose, cough, fever, headaches)

  • Have any feeling of generally being unwell

  • Have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19

  • Are awaiting a COVID-19 test

 

Thank you for your patience as we continue to learn and adapt to different situations that COVID-19 presents. The safety of staff and clients is paramount.

CANCELLATIONS

The client should contact Ready OT, at a minimum 24 hours prior to appointment if cancellation / postponement is required. Should cancellation / postponement occur under 24 hours, a cancellation fee of 1 hour of the rate specified within the service agreement will be incurred. If the therapist has travelled to the appointment travel charges will be made.

PAYMENTS

Ready OT works under a fee for service model. Our fees are compared to those charged by similar practices.

For those with NDIS plans, the hourly rate is consistent with the NDIS price guide.

Written work including support letters and reports, will be released upon full payment. Clients and supports may receive a draft copy upon request, with the final document released once the full payment has been made.

 

Private paying clients are charged at a reduced rates and Medicare rebates may be available.
